But there was an issue (the wife of the guy didn't sign), so they turned me down. I got her to sign days later and by then I'd incurred a tardy fee that I couldn't afford. My mom had the brilliant idea to edit the date on the title, and so I was charged a fee for that too. So, I didn't register it. I've been trying to receive ahold of the guy and his wife to sign a new Bill of Sale with a new date as a lady at the DMV instructed me, but I've had no luck.
Today, a guy told me he was going to file a claim with my insurance for a hundred bucks. The car's been insured for a few months now. But it's not in my name. My pal said 'You need to register it right now!!!', saying that if he went to the insurance company with a claim, they'd consider the car stolen, even though I got a ticket precisely for my failure to register the vehicle and they probably know that. What is going to happen? I can't receive ahold of the guy, and my mom this time ever-so-helpfully suggested I just forge the Bill of Sale and receive it over with. What on earth should I do? I lost my job and we want to move to a different town for work. We have never been tardy with a payment but not sure how long we can keep that up. Looking into a short sale and getting conflicting reports on what it will do to my credit. I know we are eligible for a FHA loan if we keep in good standings but i am worried how difficult it will hit my credit for other things like car loans and credit cards. Has anyone recently gone through this and have any advice or input?

I do possess a car and plan to keep it along with owning a bike. I found an 01 ninja 250 for sale for $1500 and it seems like a reasonable deal for my purposes. I would however like to know if this bike can handle long distances on the interstate if I ever want or need to take it out there some time on a commute anywhere from 2-5 hours long. Can it hang with traffic without over heating? Does it perform well just getting around town? Like I said I am completely new at this and would like to receive any information that I can before I look into getting this bike. I do not plan to race the thing or do anything crazy on it. Well, I am going to be making payments and put $1000 down. First, the a/c would squeal. Then the next day I tried turning it on and it close off the entire car. Now my car engine idles so low the car vibrates (300-400rpm) and the check engine light flashed on. Again I've only had this car since Saturday. I got it used of course from a suburu dealership. Do you think they would in good faith reverse the sale for me? Or am I screwed since it was an "As is" no warranty sale? :(
Also when I turn on the car it squeals incredibly noisy for a second, seems as soon as it turns on until the i turn the key back.
So if they say no, I'm pretty much stuck with paying $2,600 for a useless car? Or face a horrible credit score and then calling my references non cease? I never really ever went out to find trouble, but always had it sneak up on me. Life was always difficult on me. Started when I was young. At fours years old, I had to have open heart surgery when they discovered my aorta was in a question mark. When the aorta kinked, it blew my hearing out and would spend the next 8 years deaf. After the surgery I spent 9 months in the hospital. I had a difficult time at school due to the hearing loss, and my teachers would place me at my possess little desk in the LD (Learning Disability) class and I would just color pictures so I wouldn't bother them. Just in the past year I learned that my dad used to like calling me names and cussing at me cause I couldn't hear him. He felt he needed to receive that off his chest. I haven't really wanted to talk to him after being told that. Over the years I learned that I was an accidental pregnancy (not planned) and that may have given me the "black sheep" status amongst my two brothers. My older brother was spoiled and had my fathers adore and attention. I remember a time I saw them playing catch in the yard, and ran outside with my ball glove just to look them cease playing and go in the home. My younger brother was always my mom's favorite. To this day, he can never do anything wrong, and if he does, mommy is there to bail him out of his jams. One way my parents would shush me up was to buy me Ninja Turtle action figures. They knew if they bought me one, I would run off to my room for hours playing with it and my other figures. If I was silent they were glad.
When I was in high school, I had a very difficult time just passing. I was a "D" student and had 2 friends, least I thought I did. They never really said they hated me being around, but were quick to join the kids in shaving creaming my car during our school graduation picnic. My mom used to scream at me and threaten to slap me when I couldn't figure out a math problem. Wasn't my fault, I was years behind everyone else and I never "learned" the way others did when it came to looking at math problems. I guess you can call them good study techniques. My senior year I met a wonderful girl who helped me a lot. She was my best pal, and took time out of her day to help me with homework. She taught me how to really read, and helped with my pen-boat. We were in Agriculture Science together and she took a lot of heat from our classmates for hanging with me, but she never cared, and with her help I was able to pass my senior year with almost a full set of B's. Was the best C-Honor Roll I ever got! She moved to California a few weeks later, and I never saw her again, but to this day I still adore her as anyone could ever really adore a best pal and wish she is doing well.
When I was 20, I got in to a car accident with 3 other people in the car. I was the driver. The police would find a bag in my trunk that contained a case of beer, which as the driver I was pinned with. I had no idea it was beer and never knew one of the passengers had put the bag in my trunk. After the wreck, none of those guys talked to me again, I fell in to a depressed state that lasted almost 4 years. I didn't socialize, go out at every & just stayed in my room (when I wasn't working). It would be at this time I decided to buy and play Final Fantasy 11 online, and was hooked. I ended up meeting a girl online that I played with for months. We met and I asked for a 4 day weekend from work, upon approval I went and met the lady who now is my wife. When I came back home, I found out I was accused of using the store demo cell phone for personal use and my job was terminated. I never once used the phone, I had my possess Sprint PCS at the time. My word vs my boss, and I lost (turned out he was using it as his possess personal cell). I would end up getting a job at Best Buy as a Car Sales employee, and would later receive accused of calling someone a terrible name (when I didn't) because the Installation Bay employee got mad at me for scheduling installs to close together. In reality he wanted to install one radio, speaker amp etc and hour and spend the relax of the time flirting with the blonde cashiers. If you been to been to Best Buy or worked there, you know what I mean.
With encouragement from my wife, I went to college. Did well and received a 4 Year Bachelors Degree in Science. A programming degree in my hand I thought I had finally got out of the rump I was in. That is far from the case. I haven't been able to receive a job with my degree until just a few weeks ago. I thought, "Wow finally!", but my first day I was there, I found the software I was told I be working on was actually in fact done and they brought me on board to pirate the software and rewrite it to make it look like it was there. I quit the very next day, I wasn't going to jail if caught. I was living in a new home, but my old one was for sale. I stayed at my old home on weekdays because I still went to the same school. My little sister and I were home alone so I told this guy I like to arrive over. He came over and we were making out and stuff. And then he's like let's do it (have sex) but I said no I couldn't do it, I was scared my little sister would look us. And so then he got mad and was like its not like you haven't done this before with me and I was like ik but I just can't this time. (that actually did happen but not at my home in his car and I said no because Im talking to someone). And so I told him to leave because I had a feeling my parents were gonna arrive and they don't let boys over. He comes back with I'll give you 190 dollars. Let me start this off by saying I never did business in my home, but I rather someone spend their gas rather than me go through the trouble of selling on ebay or shipping. If anyone knows anything about xbox 360's, the older versions and power bricks are fucking junk. They weigh a lot and one time my mom had to pay 13-18 dollars to seal and boat a box correctly at USPS for a stupid toy. I would imagine shipping to cost 12-20 bucks for everything I was selling. Bottom line I only did the trade because he was sobbing about his kid, then we head to his car, he reaches in his glove compartment, oh gawd, I thought the dumb fuck was going to try to shoot me, hah, I'm trained in martial arts and he looked weak so if anything I would fuck him up and stole his money not him to me. He paid me 190 bam, the next couple of days he posts an ad without the couple games I give him and minus one controller, for a trade for a wii with games or a ps3 with games. LOL. really. I feel like I should give him a taste of his possess medicine and trade him my wii, but I feel like my wii will be sold online on ebay better. I'm not doing business on CL, I got my money and lesson time to move on. I could of made 60-100 dollars more than I made that day. I think he is hustling people to receive games which sell in bulk on ebay if you have tons of games 1000 dollars. Whatever I got my 190, minus 20 of course because my brother wanted some for his investments in the games.
Is that considered getting hustled I did earned a lot of money, 190 for a console that is slowly leaving the planet of earth. These white boxes are every being sold cheap as well as games so I can care less. If anything I'll wait around and buy a new phone or xbox 360 slim with a sale of my wii on ebay.
Craigslist is a dangerous place, people. Now do you think I got hustled or not? I think it's more so iffy since he did pay 190 for a bunch of used merchandise that is almost obsolete. Top 5 games and item in that bulk were Call of duty world at war, Burnout Paradise, Left 4 Dead (Original), Fable 2, and an old halo 3. Only thing of value that I'll miss is a 120gb difficult steer but it's w/e I got it for 20 bucks on sale, but it sells for 60 bucks. haha. I think I made an alright deal. It would of took me forever to make a profit off those junk games and xbox 360 if I hung on to it and I might have gotten one of those people on ebay who don't pay, most of the games were scratched and old.

I have an interview with Macy's as a "flex-team" leader in the cosmetic area (brand unknown). I'm curious- what is the average commission percentage/hourly pay? Does Macy's offer a good health care plan? What are hours like? Feel free to add any additional details.

Anyways the truck is 100% better than the car, iv just had some bad crap go on in my life and he let his emotions receive into it and went with the deal. The car ran great. The guy I bought it from bought it through the Military's Exchange New Car Sales. Well, I paid for the car and he left country without getting the title for the car. The guy is not responding to emails and no longer has the same phone number. I was able to register it here, but I will not be able to register it when I receive back to the U.S. without a title. I hear debt-consolidating companies are a waste of time or not worth it. I'm about to receive a sum of money from a home I sold, but I'm a stay-at-home Mom right now, and do not want to spend a HUGE amount at once when I have no steady income. I'd rather pay some monthly to every places I owe. Would it be better to pay things off entirely per company I owe? I'd just rather make payments to each one a little at a time, as to not be harassed by creditors. I'm getting money from a jointly owned home that my sister and I came way down on the price for quick sale, so it is not an option for me to pay off thousands when I have things to buy that we need. I do not have a car, for example, and I cannot keep depending on my husband who works full time for transportation. Any friendly advice is appreciated. I fear blowing off debt owed...I did that with an inheritance and this is my last chance at fixing my credit and maintaining an emergency/savings fund without living paycheck to paycheck when I regain employment.
@ Megan- That sounds like a great approach, but I should mention that the majority of my debt has gone to collections. Back when I had an inheritance, I was working on paying off my debt....some had gone to collections and I was able to settle on a few of them and pay them off. I (stupidly) opened up four more credit cards to help rebuild my credit (ha-ha). I was doing well for a while, purchasing things and then making payments larger than the minimum, or paying them every down...and repeating. Great idea...or so, I thought. I was reckless with my spending and ended up maxing every four cards out (luckily, low limits...but racked up a TON of interest). So, I'm back to square one...and I have to deal with every of this through numerous debt collectors. I'm not sure your idea would work in my situation, but I GREATLY appreciate the advice!!!

Back when I had an inheritance, I was working on paying off my debt....some had gone to collections and I was able to settle on a few of them and pay them off. I (stupidly) opened up four more credit cards to help rebuild my credit (ha-ha). I was doing well for a while, purchasing things and then making payments larger than the minimum, or paying them every down...and repeating. Great idea...or so, I thought. I was reckless with my spending and ended up maxing every four cards out (luckily, low limits...but racked up a TON of interest). So, I'm back to square one...and I have to deal with every of this through numerous debt collectors. I'm not sure your idea would work in my situation, but I GREATLY appreciate the advice!!!

Im not sure how to lift money though, becuase most laptops cost anywhere from 200 dollars to 700. I have about two months to lift this money. I have been thinking about doing a bake sale, car wash every the usual however it is winter where i live right now so that wouldnt really work. I was also thinking about doing a flash mob or some sort of yard sale, but again a foot of snow wont do these ideas justice. Also, he is buying a home and needs money. He has 2 cars for sale 1 is a 1987 trans am for 1200 but he was doing an engine swap and doesn't have the time to rewire it but he left the transmission hooked up. And he also has a camaro for sale it runs perfect but just needs new plugs for 1800? It doesn't make sense to me. Il ne faut pas manger des aliments qui font grosser par example chocolate. J’evite les aliments sales. Il faut faire l’exercise faire parce que c’est important. La nourriture joue en role important. Pour dimuner la sensation de faim il faut boire beacoup d’eau. je vais au gymnase deux fois par semaine, la semaine dernière j'étais dans une course de charité.

So I went to look him and looked at the car he said he bought it in 1994 and it's been sitting in his storage unit for the last 10 years. So I walked around the car it wasn't in bad shape but I was worried because it needed to be rewired. Also, the title was clean. He said that be wanted to buy a home so he needed the money. Now be texted me saying be just found new parts so the car went up 100 and it still needs a water pump. I asked him how many miles are on it and he said it didn't matter. When I went to buy it, the title of the car was handed over to me and I paid the guy his money. The car had licence plates for North Carolina, but the car was titled in Maryland and after reading the title over more closely, I noticed that the document was full and the last signature was from a sale from one dealership to another, and the guy who I bought it from was not on the document. I tried to receive it titled, and they said I couldn't title it without the continuing form that has the owner who I bought the car from. I have been in contact with the owner and he says he has the lien documentation in his name, which I assume would suffice, however he has been impossible to meet up with and it makes me wonder whether he even has the form. Regardless, I have the car, and I have a title to the car that was renewed last in 2009. My question is based on my situation, what should I do next to go about getting my car titled in my name? Is there some way around every this crap, like perhaps order a replacement copy of the missing information or maybe declare the car as abandoned property (even though it's at my dad's home since I live on campus at college) and then obtain a title in that way?
well sure, we every make mistakes first time buying the car. My wife’s taste for designer handbags, clothes and cosmetics seems to be way out of hand. She recently paid $1800 for a designer purse; I believe she now has a collection of 5 just like it. She routinely pays $400-$500-$600 or more for shoes. I'm guessing she has at least 30 pairs. Today she paid $285 for eye cream, the container it comes in is about the size of a golf ball. It's really our 1 big problem in our 8 year marriage. We both arrive from humble origins; money was very tight for our families. I don't mind indulging a little either, we just got back from 8 nights in Hawaii; but I can't receive use to $1500 handbags and $285 eye cream. Our argument always boils down to this.....she makes her possess money so she can spend it as she pleases. She does pay half the bills. It just seems so ridiculous to spend so much on things that can be bought for SOOO much less. Other than things for our family I spend far, far less on myself than she does. We have a 2nd child on the way and are actively seeking a larger home. My wife has decided to quit her job after our 2nd baby is born and I support her decision in this because I think it will strengthen our family and benefit our kids. I’m in sales and have experienced 4 years in a row of exceptional income but I’m mindful that my annual income won’t be this high forever, in fact 2012 is already beginning to show signs of a significant decline.
Since college she has always budgeted her money poorly, spending more than she made. She has run up high credit card bills in the past, but with my help they have been paid off(more than once) and now she does not even carry one and we have not credit card debt. She has hidden expensive purchases in the past from me which has eroded my trust in her…which hurts.
Over the years her expensive taste has grown right along with our incomes. Most of the online info I’ve read on shopping addictions references spending beyond means (building credit card debt) as the main indication of an addiction but in my wife’s case her purchases are every made with cash. Just because her shopping hasn’t bankrupted us doesn't mean there isn’t a problem right?
This problem has created a deep underlying resentment of my wife which I have always done my best to bury or just receive over. I adore my wife and my kids dearly. Am I enabling her behavior? Am I just cheap and should I just receive over it? When I confront her about these excessive and frequent purchases she is extremely defensive ; which inevitably ends in a bitter argument.
